Starting as a Trainee Field Officer
Role: As a Trainee Field Officer, your role primarily involves learning the ropes of microfinance. This includes understanding the institution’s processes, assessing loan applicants, and assisting senior Field Officers.
On-the-Job Training: Trainees receive extensive on-the-job training. This involves shadowing experienced Field Officers, learning about loan disbursement, repayment collection, and conducting community meetings.
Challenges: The initial phase can be challenging. You’ll need to build rapport with clients, learn the nuances of credit assessment, and understand the unique challenges of rural communities.
